It's hard to write about people with such great personality, talent and influence in the whole world. A very complex and mysterious person who was know by everybody, loved by masses, hated by many, but not understood at all. A man who's life was envied by so many people, at the same time who's life was so miserable, lonely and simply sad. It's impossible to understand him fully, but one thing that is sure, that his great talent, his actions, his music, dance, music videos, innovations in every field of show business has influenced and are still influencing the whole music world.
Not only in the US, Europe but on all continents, as well as Asia with his most faithful fans in Japan. I've read many touching comments given after his death, and it's incredible how he has managed to leave so great influence on so many artists, as well as ordinary people.
As a JE fan it's impossible for me not to notice and appreciate the great influence of M.J. music and dance on JE artists. I believe he is and will be the inspiration for masses of nowadays' artists in the whole world.
Comments of his friends after his death:
- "I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words. Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the '80s. To this day, the music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him." — Quincy Jones.
- "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me." — Lisa Marie Presley.
- "I can't stop crying, this is too sudden and shocking. I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family." - Diana Ross.
- "Dazed in the studio. A major strand of our cultural DNA has left us. RIP MJ." — John Mayer
- "Just as there will never be another Fred Astaire or Chuck Berry or Elvis Presley, there will never be anyone comparable to Michael Jackson. His talent, his wonderment and his mystery make him legend." — Steven Spielberg.
- "We have all been blessed to have witnessed a true light, a wonderful talent ... no words can describe his talent, generosity, advocacy and love for the world ... He gave us a piece of his soul and dedicated his life to entertain us ." - will.i.am.
- "The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music. He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. ... I love you Michael." - Beyonce Knowles.
- "He broke barriers, he changed radio formats. With music, he made it possible for people like Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama to impact the mainstream world. His legacy is unparalleled." - Usher.
- "We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones." — Justin Timberlake.
And some quotes of the king himself:-If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.- I’m just like anyone. I cut and I bleed. And I embarrass easily. The meaning of life is contained in every single expression of life. It is present in the infinity of forms and phenomena that exist in all of creation.
- Just because it’s in print doesn’t mean it’s the gospel.
- And I remember going to the record studio and there was a park across the street and I’d see all the children playing and I would cry because it would make me sad that I would have to work instead.
- I’m never pleased with anything, I’m a perfectionist, it’s part of who I am.
- The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.
- People write negatives things, cause they feel that’s what sells. Good news to them, doesn’t sell.
- I wake up from dreams and go “Wow, put this down on paper.” The whole thing is strange. You hear the words, everything is right there in front of your face.
- Because I think every child star suffers through this period because you’re not the cute and charming child that you were. You start to grow, and they want to keep you little forever.
- And my goal in life is to give to the world what I was lucky to receive: the ecstasy of divine union through my music and my dance.
(And you have managed it M.J.)
May he rest in peace. At last.

I've just watched the Michael Jackson's memorial... Although there were some showish and more concert-like moments, the whole memorial generally was very touching. But I think such public events are rather to give fans opportunity to say goodbye to Michael then something really close friends and family would appreciate. Such public showing of sorrow has to be very painful.
But as fan... I really appreciate this event. For last couple of days I've watched all his videoclips and what was especially touchong for me - interviews with him. That showed me another side of king, another side of the idol, the icon I've always known...
I loved his music, I grow up with it, but I had never known how sensitive, thoughtful, compassionate and simply GOOD human beeing, pure and beautiful person he was. This copule of days let me know MJ better as a human, and in that MJ I fell in love, a fan of that MJ I am now.
This event... made me sad in so many ways, for so many reasons... and it made my cry so much. There were so many touching moments... of course the simply but so true words of his daughter, words of Brooke Shields about prince, words of his brother Marlon and many more. Just everytime I saw so genuine, pure and very not-celebrity like pain, tears and just the feeling of irreversible loss in the eyes of his closest friends and family members I could feel how much they miss him and that the loss of Michael is for them something that changed them, hurt them really deeply and their life without him will not remain the same.
I just felt that when facing the mistery of life and death, and the experience of sincere, pure human pain and loss, you just have to be touched by it. If not - there is something wrong with your humanity. It's not about an idol, an entertainmer - it's about a very good and giving human beeing, who suffered a lot through his life because of not beeing understood. Michael, you are in a better place, rest in peace.
